Days like this are ones that make me so grateful to be a photographer. Meredith and Cole’s wedding at La Venture Grove was so special! Most of their friends and family are from out of state, so it made their ceremony and time spent together that much more sweet. Cole is in the military, and made it home just weeks before their big day. Keep scrolling to see some of my favorite images from this wedding!
These details were SO much fun to photograph. I loved the citrus I was able to incorporate into her flat lay since she had so much color and brightness in her wedding! Let this be an encouragement to any brides who want beautiful photos like this: get extra flowers for flat lays, make sure to have your bouquet available, and the more details the better (shoes, jewelry, perfume, sentimental items, hanger, veil, vow books, you get it.)
I have a closet full of detail trinkets in my office, and before the wedding I will get with the bride to go over invitation suite and colors so I know what all to bring with me. Things like ring boxes, dishes, ribbon, etc. I also encourage brides to include any of that if they want anything specific!
These flowers are done in-house by Flora Grove at La Venture Grove. She makes the most gorgeous bouquets.
I love a father + bride first look!
The rain was on its way during these photos, but we were quick and these girls were so kind + flexible. My biggest piece of advice for planning for weather before your wedding is to have a CHILL attitude, and try to book a venue that has pretty indoor options with good light!
I am a huge fan of mismatched bridesmaid dresses. I think they add so much more interest to bridal party photos and lets each girl get something they’ll actually wear again. It won’t be so bad to fork out hundreds of dollars for a bridesmaid dress 😉
