Spring is arguably the best season to get married in St. Augustine, Florida. With the perfect weather, blooming flowers, and charming architecture, it’s no wonder that many couples choose this beautiful city for their big day. Grace and Brent are on the blog today, who recently tied the knot at The White Room venue in St. Augustine. Their wedding was classic and laid back, with a color scheme of light blue and white, and their portraits were captured in the square and in the beautiful back streets of St. Augustine. Y’all know how much I love that traditional blue and white!
Downtown St. Augustine always serves as a beautiful backdrop for any couple’s wedding portraits. The historic architecture, cobblestone streets, and lush greenery (almost all year round) offers so many picturesque spots. It’s truly one of my favorite things knowing that these images will be what my couples show to their families for generations!
Planning a wedding in St. Augustine can be a dream come true, and to ensure a seamless experience, we’ve gathered some valuable tips:
Venue Selection: The White Room is an excellent choice for couples looking for a classic and elegant wedding venue in St. Augustine. The venue offers several different spaces including the rooftop, ballroom, and grand dining room, all with stunning views of the city. With its high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and white drapery, The White Room is the perfect backdrop for any wedding. I also love The Lightner Museum and St. Johns Golf and Country Club.
Weather Considerations: Spring in St. Augustine boasts pleasant temperatures, but be prepared for the occasional shower. Opt for an indoor-outdoor venue that provides flexibility in case of inclement weather.
Guest List: Some of the St. Augustine venues do not have a large enough space for bigger guest lists, so keep in mind your count as you’re perusing St. Augustine venues.
Hire a planner! This is one of my biggest pieces of advice for anyone planning a wedding, but especially if you have any sort of vision you want to bring to life. Hiring a part or full planner is worth every penny. Message me if you’d like to know any favorites of mine!
