Here are 3 things you need to know before you book a wedding photographer!!
I know, girl. The photography industry is daunting! There are so many choices, so many great photographers, and so little time to choose! How do you pick the right one? What even makes a good photographer?
Everyone is different. Budgets, desires, and just about everything else you can think of fluctuates from bride to bride. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and need a bit of direction, these 3 little tid-bits may help you narrow down your decision!
- Style! Style! Style! You don’t want to look back in 10 years and all your wedding photos not match a single thing in your home. Remember that these pictures will be printed and hung up in frames in both yours and your family’s home for years to come, so choose wisely!
- It may sound like a lot of money up front, but think about how important these photos are! It truly is worth every penny to remember this for yourself, your family, your kids and your grandkids. Not to mention camera equipment is ridiculously expensive! Your photographer will greatly appreciate your understanding in the time, money, and expertise it took to make your photos as amazing as they are.
- Communication! Message the photographer, ask to meet for coffee, chat on the phone, ask allll the questions. Your wedding photographer is a service for you and your family, and it is so helpful to build a relationship with them. So you follow this girl on Instagram who takes pretty pictures, but she (or he) doesn’t really seem interested in you or your wedding? Next! Half of the reason why people love their photos is because of the way they felt behind the camera. Make sure your potential photographer is someone you could picture yourself being friends with!
You only get one day to be in a wedding dress, celebrating the coming together of you and your lovey. After its all over and your family and friends head home, and life sets in with this new husband of yours, you get to hold on to the memories with those pictures.
Happy Wedding season! You’ll make the most beautiful bride!
