As I’ve gotten older, my home style as gone back to a bit more traditional like my mothers. Fun fact: my mom went to school for interior design, and both my sister & I have a knack for home decor because of it. Lindsay, my sister, is more modern and eclectic, mine is more traditional and coastal. I remember growing up, every holiday was so much fun because my mom and my Meme went all out (while still being tasteful), and I so enjoy carrying on that tradition. Here are my simple steps for Fall Styling that aren’t cheesy, and are timeless enough to use again year after year! To see my entire Amazon Fall decor list, click here.
Mantel Styling
Step one: Snag 2 to 3 strands depending on length of your mantel of this beautiful magnolia leaf garland (I use 2 toned because it looks more Fall and lifelike to me) and lay over mantle. I recommend getting double the strands so you can make it look more full.
Step two: Randomly place these pinecones and these pretty faux pears under & between magnolia leaves.
Step three: Loosely put this mustard yellow velvet ribbon or this olive green velvet ribbon (still deciding which one I like better!) between leaves, going under and over garland. This may take a minute to get just right 🙂
Step four: Place candlesticks on either side of the ends of the mantel, two or three on one side, three or four on the other to be a bit asymmetrical.
Front Porch Styling
Step one: Place urns on either side of your door. I like this one on amazon, it has great reviews and is cheaper but looks expensive. They also have beautiful urns at Lowes and Wal Mart!
Step two: Lay out 4+ strands (depending on how long you want your garland to be) of this fall garland, overlapping two and tying together. Hang over door! Another pretty garland option over the door is this magnolia garland. You could even mix the magnolia with the fall leaves garland.
Step three: Layer this adorable pumpkin mat over this larger natural mat. Make sure for the natural mat, you get the 22 in x 36 in size so it’s big enough to be seen under the pumpkin!
Step four: Hang a magnolia wreath . Use another velvet ribbon here to make a big bow on the top or bottom, or intertwine in leaves, or even use wrapped around the top to be what hangs the wreath from the hanger.
Dining Room
Step one: Dining Table Decor! Lay these leaf branches (get a few of the reddish brown and a few yellow) down the middle of the table, leaving about 10-12 inches from each end of the table and hiding the ends of the sticks under each other.
Step two: Get three or four of these light blue pumpkins, a pack or two of these white pumpkins, and about six or seven of these small orange pumpkins. Lay on top of the leaf branches, bunching them in the middle and putting some on top of the other.
Step three: Place randomly and at different sizes these antique looking candle sticks between the pumpkins. For an extra pop, I thought these pumpkin stacked candles were precious to add in the holders!
Step four: Decorate your buffet table / china cabinet!
Living Room
Kitchen
Step one: Hang this adorable watercolor hand towel or this personalized hand towel on your oven handle.
Step two: Place this blueish leaf spoon rest on your stove.
Step three: Put two blue and white ginger jars on either side of stove and fill with white, orange or yellow roses (they last the longest!)
